The Almost (members of Underoath) have posted their cover of the “Little Drummer Boy.” The classic Christmas staple is one of the tracks that appears on the group’s forthcoming EP. The record is titled No Gift To Bring and is due out November 25, 2008.

In honor of the forthcoming World Series, MxPx have posted their version of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” which is sort of the theme song to America’s version of cricket. The track will be available on the bands MySpace page for the duration of the series.

MxPx drummer Yuri Ruley recently spoke to ThePunkSite.com about some of the band’s upcoming plans. Along with mentioning a new recording session in January, he band is planning on putting the finishing touches on a covers album. While he was unable to divulge exactly who they were covering, he did drop some hints:
I can tell the theme. I know it sounds like a very overdone theme but it’s songs that we kind of love from the 80’s. Its not necessarily chart topers from the 80’s; well some of them are but not all of them. Should be fun.

Philadelphia, PA’s mewithoutYou are set to start recording their third album in August with Daniel Smith of Danielson Famile fame according to Rock Sound.. Says guitarist Mike Weiss:
We have not started recording yet but the writing is going perfectly. So far it is sounding very different than the first two records, very mellow but there is room for intensity if we need to add it in. We wanted to make sure the songs are beautiful on their own and then add bigger sounds if necessary rather than writing intense music and then worrying whether it goes overboard or not.
This album will be the follow up to 2006’s Brother, Sister.
